The Serra Club is the local chapter of the Serra International that raises awareness of religious vocations, especially the Vocations to the priesthood and religious life. A rosary and meal at the Holiday Inn downtown is held the 4th Wednesday of the month with someone giving a testimony about how they are growing in their faith. The patron saint of the Serra Club is St. Junipero Serra, who was a missionary to Indigenous people in the 18th century. To learn more about his life please watch St. Junípero Serra: A Man of God, A Mission of Love on Formed at https://watch.formed.org/videos/st-junipero-serra-a-man-of-god-a-mission-of-love.
